StarLux® Fractional Skin Resurfacing

The StarLux Fractional Skin Resurfacing laser system heats tiny columns of your dermis (the second layer of your skin), which stimulate healing and fresh, healthy growth. It is semi-ablative (damage the epidermis, the outer layer of your skin which you can see, is minimal), meaning that recovery time is minimal.

The results of the StarLux Fractional Laser are also longer-lasting than the results of similar devices, because it penetrates deeper into the dermis than they do.

How long do I have to take off of work?

Because the StarLux® doesn't do damage to the epidermis like similar devices, downtime for you is minimal -- in many cases, you can go straight back to work or your other activities without any time off. Also, results appear swiftly.

How long do I have to wait to see results?

In many cases, patients begin to see significant improvements in skin tone and texture within three or four days. The laser stimulates quick healing in the dermis, while leaving the epidermis intact, so there's very little peeling.
